Tightening your skin with FaceTite and NeckTite treatments is an effective way to address skin laxity and diminish signs of aging. (1) As we age, the production of collagen and elastin in the skin begins to decrease, often resulting in visible lines and wrinkles, as well as loose skin on the face, neck, and chin. (2) To fight these symptoms of aging, the aesthetic team at Colorado Facial Plastic Surgery offers FaceTite and NeckTite. This revolutionary skin-tightening procedure remodels the skin with radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL), which both eliminates fat cells while stimulating collagen production to effectively tighten the skin. About FaceTite and NeckTite

FaceTite and NeckTite treatments are a form of radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis, meaning they simultaneously remove fat while tightening the skin. Unlike more extensive surgical skin tightening treatments, FaceTite and NeckTite can tighten the skin without removing it. The FaceTite and NeckTite devices emit radiofrequency energy, which causes the tissue to heat up, stimulating collagen production. This also helps to liquefy fat cells, making their removal with the micro-cannula easier. Patients receiving these treatments can address loose skin, double chins (submental fat), and more, achieving a more defined and elegant facial profile.

Benefits

FaceTite and NeckTite treatments offer numerous benefits to patients seeking rejuvenation. Under the expert care of the Colorado Facial Plastic Surgery team, our patients see advantages like:

  • Minimally invasive treatment: These treatments require only small incisions, resulting in minimal scarring and shorter recovery times compared to other procedures.
  • Skin tightening: These procedures utilize advanced radiofrequency technology to tighten the skin, improving the appearance of jowls and ‘turkey necks’.
  • Precision and customization: The versatile technology allows for precise targeting and contouring of specific areas, ensuring a tailored and natural-looking result.
  • Long-lasting results: The skin tightening effects are long-lasting, providing patients with sustained improvements in their facial appearance.
  • Effective fat reduction: These treatments effectively remove unwanted fat from targeted areas, leaving patients with a leaner, sharper facial appearance

Candidates

Suitable candidates are typically those who would like to reduce the appearance of unwanted fat and drooping skin around the brow, mid-face, chin, and jawline. Patients should be in good general health without any conditions that could interfere with treatment or recovery. You should have realistic expectations about what you can achieve with the procedure, and you should come prepared to discuss your aesthetic goals openly for optimal results.

Consultation

All FaceTite and NeckTite treatments begin with a personal consultation. During this appointment, Dr. Imola or Dr. Kowalczyk will examine your skin, explore your medical history, and ask about your aesthetic goals. With this information collected, we will customize your treatment plan to deliver the goals you desire. If there are multiple issues you wish to address or if you would benefit from receiving an additional procedure, then this will be discussed as well. We encourage you to openly ask any questions you may have to ensure you go into treatment confidently.

Treatment Process

Your FaceTite or NeckTite procedure will begin with anesthesia administration. As minimally invasive techniques, these do not require general anesthesia. We will ensure your comfort with local anesthetics. Once you are comfortable, your surgeon will make small, discreet incisions and insert the device.

The radiofrequency energy and gentle heat released by the FaceTite and NeckTite handpieces destroy unwanted fat cells and cause the skin to contract. Your surgeon will carefully maneuver the handpiece throughout the targeted areas to remove fat and sculpt your ideal appearance. The entire procedure usually takes 45-60 minutes, depending on the targeted area, but this can vary depending on your unique treatment.

After Your Treatment

After your treatment, you may experience mild bruising, swelling, and/or skin irritation while you heal. You can use the recommended over-the-counter medications and cold compresses to reduce discomfort and alleviate swelling. You will need to rest for about 3-5 days after your treatment, and we will let you know when you can return to all aspects of your normal routine.

Results

Patients generally see some visible results shortly after their treatment, but further improvements will become more noticeable over the next 3 to 8 weeks as your body produces new collagen. In some cases, results can last for up to five years.

Corresponding Treatments

Facelift

If you have more significant sagging skin, a surgical facelift may be a more effective treatment option for you. These procedures are considered to be more invasive and typically require general anesthesia and a lengthier recovery time. However, a facelift can better address significant skin laxity and achieve longer-lasting results. In these procedures, the surgeon will make incisions near your hairline or behind your ears, remove excess skin, and tighten your underlying tissues to rejuvenate your appearance. If your surgeon believes you would be better served with a facelift, this option can be discussed during your consultation.

Facial Fat Transfer

Facial volume loss, which can be caused by weight loss, aging, hormonal fluctuations, and other factors, can cause a hollow, aged look. If you wish to address facial volume loss, your surgeon can perform a facial fat transfer. During a facial fat transfer, your surgeon will remove excess fat from another area of the body with liposuction. Common harvest areas include the abdomen, flanks, and thighs. Because of this liposuction step, patients may benefit from subtle body contouring during their facial fat transfer procedure. This fat is then processed and injected into the facial areas that could benefit from restored volume.

FAQ

Do FaceTite and NeckTite treatments hurt?

Since we administer a local anesthetic, patients tend to only report a sensation of mild warmth as the RF energy and heat do their work during the treatment. After the treatment, it is normal for patients to experience discomfort or tenderness in the treated areas.

Is FaceTite safe for everyone?

When performed by a trained, experienced surgeon, FaceTite is typically considered a safe and effective treatment that can address multiple concerns for a wide range of candidates. However, some patients with underlying medical conditions or other contraindications may not be eligible for a FaceTite treatment.

When will I see the results of FaceTite treatments?

While immediate improvements may be seen after a FaceTite procedure, patients often enjoy results that gradually improve over the next few weeks as the collagen in their skin works to renew their appearance. Patient experiences may vary, but results can last as long as 5 years.

Can I combine FaceTite with other procedures?

Yes, we can combine FaceTite with other procedures if you would like to address multiple aesthetic goals during one session. If you are interested in other procedures, let your surgeon know during your personal consultation, and they will help you design a completely tailored treatment plan.

How long does a FaceTite or NeckTite procedure last?

This depends on your treatment plan and whether you need additional treatments to achieve your goals. Treatments generally take 45-90 minutes on their own, but patient experiences may vary.

What is the difference between FaceTite and NeckTite?

Both FaceTite and NeckTite use the same technology for rejuvenation; the main difference is the location that the handpieces are designed for.
