Facelift Neck Lift Case #2232
Before
After
The patient is a pleasant, 86-year old gentleman who presented with heaviness of the neck. This had bothered him for many years. It was recommended that he undergo a direct neck excision. This is an outpatient procedure which involves removing the central neck skin which often hangs in the midline. Although this creates a scar, it heals very well, especially in males who have thicker skin and beards. This is an excellent alternative for patients who do not wish to undergo a larger procedure such as formal face and necklift. His photos are taken at 3 months post-op and he's very happy with his result.
- Notice the heavy neck in the midline. After, the heaviness is removed and all that remains is the normal musculature known as the platysma. The incision is relatively unnoticeable.
- Notice the improvement in the skin of the neck.
- This is the most dramatic of the views. The "turkey neck" has been removed improving the contour and smoothness of the neck.
