Blepharoplasty Case #2205
Before
After
The patient is a healthy, 62-year old woman who presented with an aging face, neck, and lower eyelids. She wanted a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance. A subciliary lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning was performed in a separate setting. This involves a small incision underneath the lower eyelashes. Then, a deep-plane face and necklift with platysmaplasty were done. This allows for not only the skin to be repositioned, but also the deeper layers of the face and neck. The results can last many years. At 6 months post-op, she is thrilled with her natural appearance.
- Notice the improvement of the lower eyelids and definition along the jawline and neck. The volume, which was located in the neck and jawline, has been moved toward the cheeks leading to a more triangular, youthful appearance.
- The jawline is more defined - especially at the angle. The neck laxity is better and the skin is tighter.
- The angle of the neck is sharper and more defined. The jawline is accentuated and the jowls gone. The lower eyelid "bags" are flattened and the eyes more open.
