This is a very pleasant, 21-year old female who presented with cheek fullness. A recommendation was made for buccal fat pad removal. This is also known as a bichectomy. The procedure is done through small incisions inside the mouth to remove some of the cheek fat. The results should demonstrate subtle shadowing under the cheekbones and overall slimming effect of the cheeks. It's important to emphasize the subtleness. The patient is several weeks out from the procedure and already loves her results!Notice the slimming from the cheek bones down to the jawline. The face appear less full at the cheeks.Notice the shadowing under the cheek bones which is highlighting the narrowing effect. The concavity of the left cheek is evident near the lips on the left side.Notice the cheek has less fullness and more shadowing. The jawline is also more refined.
