Ethnic Rhinoplasty Case #2043

This is a healthy, 28-year old female who presented for a primary rhinoplasty. Her main complaints were her bulbous, wide, and underprojected tip in addition to the width of her nose. She desired improvement in her nose while keeping her ethnicity. She underwent a primary open septorhinoplasty using rib cartilage and an alar base reduction to narrow the nostrils. Her tip was projected, refined, and rotated, and the bridge raised to create narrowness on front view. At nearly 1 year post-operative, she is thrilled with her result.

1. In the before photos, notice the width of her nostrils, tip, and bridge. After, her nose is more slim with a defined bridge and tip.
2. The three-quarter view highlights the increased rotated and refinement of the tip.
3. Notice the lack of projection, rotation, and bridge height in the before photos.
4. The base view shows how well the incisions can heal - especially at the nostrils. Her nostril width was significantly reduced and her nose projected accordingly.
