Face Lift, Neck Lift

This patient had a history of Bells Palsy facial paralysis several years earlier with incomplete recovery. She wished to improve her facial asymmetry and to restore a more youthful appearance. The patient underwent multiple staged surgical procedures to address her concerns. Facial paralysis repair was done using static and dynamic reconstruction techniques. Surgical procedures included a chin augmentation with a porous polyethylene implant, an upper and lower blepharoplasty, a submentoplasty, a midface lift, and a face/neck lift. Post-operatively the patient has a marked improvement in facial symmetry and facial weakness. The chin implant greatly improved her weak chin and provided an increase in projection all while improving her chin-neck angle. Her eyes appear much more rejuvenated as there is less excess skin in the upper eyelids and a removal of fat bags in the lower eyelids. The mid face lift provided definition to her cheeks and her face/neck lift and submentoplasty significantly reduced the heaviness in her neck and sharpened her jawline.
