Facial Reshaping Case #2112
Before
After
This is a healthy, 24-year old patient who has a history of keloids. She has had ear piercings in the past with radiation treatment before for reduction of her keloids. Over time, the keloids returned and became large as well as painful. She was taken for excision of the keloids in the operating room. Afterwards, steroid injections, compression clips, and radiation therapy were instituted. At 3 months post-operative, she has stable, healed ears and she loves her results.
- Notice the large keloids at prior piercing sites.
- Even on the back of the ear, the scars can be well-camouflaged.
- Multiple, large keloids are present. Afterwards, other than slight hyperpigmentation at the incision sites, the skin has healed nicely.
- The back of the ear is flat and well-healed after keloid removal.
