Primary Rhinoplasty Case #1768

This is a healthy, 42-year old female who presented with nasal deformity and obstruction. She suffered a major car accident in which trauma occurred to her nose - particularly at the tip area. The recommendation was made for open septorhinoplasty to correct the deformity and improve her breathing. Her septum and nasal tip were entirely reconstructed to a more functional, harmonious state. At 10 months post-operative, she's very happy with her result.

1. Notice the narrowness on the front view and refinement of the tip. The light reflexes seen at the tip are closer together indicating a slimming effect.
2. The profile line and tip are smoothed and improved and the rotation of the tip is better.
3. Notice the "step-off" at the underside of the nose from prior trauma. This has been corrected and the nose has improved rotation, projection, and refinement.
4. The severity of the scar on the columella is improved. The nasal tip has better projection and is narrowed.
