Rhinoplasty Case #1770
Before
After
This is very pleasant, 54-year old female who presented for a primary rhinoplasty. She was bothered by the size of her nose for years and wanted a noticeable, but natural result. A primary open septorhinoplasty was recommended. The large tip cartilages were flattened and reduced in size, the profile smoothed, and the rotation improved. At 8 months post-operative, her breathing is great and she is thrilled with her natural result.
- Notice the very convex (bulbous) tip cartilages in the pre-operative photo. After, the tip is more slender with flattened cartilages and better definition.
- The bulbous tip is evident in the before photo. The after photo demonstrates a refined tip with more elegance and rotation.
- The overall size of the tip is reduced, the profile smoothed, and the rotation improved.
- This view highlights the boxy and bulbous appearance to the nose. Afterwards, the nose has more of a tripod shape with good balance. The incision is unnoticeable on the columella.
