Radiesse® Case #2393

This patient is a healthy, 24-year old female who presented with the request of improving jawline and chin definition. On profile view, the chin was noted to be underprojected, or weak, and the jawline wasn't creating a transition between cheek and neck. Recommendation was made for Radiesse which is a long-lasting filler that helps generate collagen. It is placed deep, just above the bone, and is excellent for augmenting the chin and jaw. The downtime is minimal and the results are natural.

1. Notice the slimming effect along the jawline with improved narrowness of the chin. The angle of the jaw is also increased to help create dimensionality.
2. The chin is more defined as is the angle of the jaw (just below the earlobe). Notice the increased shadowing along the jawline from better contouring.
3. The chin is increased in its projection or how far it is moved away from the face. The jawline shadowing and contour is more pronounced compared with the before photo. Subtle increases of 1-2 mm in chin projection can dramatically improve facial harmony.
