Rhinoplasty Case #1869
Before
After
This patient is a healthy, 47 year old who presented with a history of prior rhinoplasty. She did not like her profile, lack of tip definition, weak cartilage support, and skin irregularities. Additionally, as an avid athlete, she had a tremendous amount of difficulty breathing through her nose. It was recommended that she undergo an open, revision rhinoplasty procedure. Rib cartilage was taken and used to provide new structure for the nose. At 8 months post-operatively, she's happy with the new shape and ability to breathe comfortably at all times.
- The nose is straight and the nostrils symmetric. The lower part of the tip is brought up and more defined. The white lip length is shortened.
- Notice the increase in projection or how far the nose comes out from the face. The tip is smaller and the white upper lip shortened.
- Notice the improvement in tip projection and definition. The profile is now smooth and straight. The white upper lip is also more open and shorter. The nostril margin is more natural as well.
