Juvederm® Case #2392

This 77 year old female presented with facial aging and volume loss. A discussion was held regarding the pros and cons of filler versus a surgical procedure such as facelift. She did not desire to undergo any surgical option and was looking for a modest improvement in her appearance. The most bothersome areas were around the eyes and jowls. She elected for a hyaluronic acid filler. This filler was injected around the rim of the eye socket, cheeks and folds, and marionette lines. Nice volume enhancement was achieved with reduction in the depth of her folds and wrinkles. She's very happy with her natural results. Filler provides an excellent solution to facial aging and volume loss in those patients who don't desire to undergo a surgical procedure.

1. This view highlights the hollowing around the eyes and jowl area. Notice the softening in the after photo particularly around the jowls and improved cheek volume.
2. Notice the volume improvement around the eye and cheek which is demonstrated with the light reflex. The cheek is smoother and the jowl area has less depth.
3. Notice the improvement in cheek volume and smoothing of the cheek area. The transition between the chin and jawline is also more refined.
