This is a 42-year old, healthy male who presented for a rhinoplasty. He had trouble breathing and wanted to improve the appearance by straightening and decreasing the size of his nose. The recommendation was made for a septorhinoplasty. The hump was reduced but still preserved to maintain some of his prior appearance on profile. The nose was downsized, straightened, and the skin thickened to create smoother contours. At 7 months post-operative, he's happy with his natural result and improved breathing.
- The before image shows the leftward deviation of the nose, nostril tilt, and thinness of the skin with a very defined tip. The after image shows straightening of the nose, improved tilt, thicker skin, and a softer tip.
- The three-quarter view demonstrates the better proportions of the nose with the upper and lower thirds of the face.
